The Breakdown:
Stance, pressure, and control, are the fundamentals of passing the guard according to Master Carlos Machado. He’s serious about passing the guard without actually ‘passing the guard’. He believes that if you focus on these 3 elements, your opponent's guard will “melt”. He also describes a couple of really interesting concepts: The surfer stance and The zombie head tilt.
